All of our memory trees are adorned with a stunning engraved slate memorial plaque. This beautifully natural memorial plague can be engraved with their name, dates and perhaps a favourite phrase on it.
Our memorial plaques are made of natural Lakeland slate and are hand crafted here in the Cumbrian Lake District.
Memorial tree plaques can be used as a gift to friends and family to commemorate any of life’s special events or historic occasions, such as the birth of a child, a graduation, a wedding or indeed as a living tribute to a loved one who has passed away.

We are proud to have teamed up with The Stone Workshop Ltd that are also based here in the Lake District, Cumbria, England. The Stone Workshop are a small team of skilled craftsmen focused on service and quality with many years of experience in monumental and architectural stone masonry. At The Stone Workshop they believe stone is a fascinating material to work with. All of their produces are produced and manufactured in their own workshop and the black Lakeland slate that they use to make our memorial plaques is quarried locally here in the English Lake District. The slate is incredibly robust and is unaffected by extreme weather or frosts.
Our hanging tree plaques measure 20 x 10 cm and can be engraved with to up a maximum of 5 lines of characters. The more characters and lines included, the smaller the letters and numbers will be so we suggest the wording is kept simple. These beautiful hanging plaques have two holes at the top and are strung on to the tree using black leather twine to compliment the stone.

Our burial memorial plaques are larger, at 30 x 20cm, and thicker than the tree plaques and are laid flat to the ground at the base of the tree so as not to intrude upon the natural beauty of the landscape. Again, they will be engraved with an inscription of your choice. Both sizes of plaque come in two options as shown in the photographs.
The first option is completely natural black (in reality it is grey in colour) Lakeland slate. This option shows the intended natural beauty and colour variation within the slate and the engraving is precise but left unpainted. Indeed, a genuine, true, fitting natural memorial.
The second option presents the black Lakeland slate as dressed so the colour is a slightly darker grey/black and more uniform throughout. The engraved inscription is finished with bright white or gold painted characters giving a bold contrast to the spectacular, eye-catching, finished product.
